Chest Workouts

Chest MusclesEvery man wants a huge chest, its almost as important as having huge biceps. The chest is one of the first places people look to see if you workout, if they can see you have a big chest its pretty obvious you lift weights.

The Chest Consists of Two Primary Muscles

1. Pectoralis Major – The pectoralis major is the bigger (thicker) portion of your chest muscles that runs down and out, almost diagonally. It’s connected from the lower part of you clavicle (collar bone) from the cartilage on the 6th or 7th rib. The pectoralis major is responsible for shoulder extension, horizontal adduction and internal rotation.

2. Pectoralis Minor – The pectoralis minor is a thin muscle that is situated in the upper part of the chest, behind your pectoralis major. The pectoralis minor is responsible for shoulder flexion, horizontal adduction and internal rotation.

Hello John, I love the website. I want to know what you think about me using a weider home gym thing that my parents have. I don’t have a lot of money and I can access a real gym in september at college. Is it ok to use their weider home gym or would it just hurt more than help? I really want to build some muscle.

      Hi Neil

Yes this will be fine, but once you get to college make sure you train compound moves with barbells and learn the basics, such as full squats, deadlifts, bench press, pull ups, push presses, cleans etc.
